About Us

Welcome to Scott County WIC

The Scott County WIC program aims to protect the health of low- to middle-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

Scott County WIC helps supply nutritious foods so eligible pregnant women, new mothers, breastfeeding and postpartum women, as well as fathers, grandparents, guardians and foster parents, can learn about nutrition to better keep the children in their care safe and healthy.

Our organization helps children reach their full growth potential and helps children enter school ready to learn. Children who were breastfed and who consistently eat nutritious foods perform better in school.
